I pulled the plug and purchased a new Mac Pro. Shipping time is about two weeks. I also purchased a Lacie 5Big to give a home to the five hard drives in my current 2010 Mac Pro.
So, my question is: when plug in the Lacie 5Big to my new Mac Pro, can I put the five (already formatted and holding lots of important data) drives into the 5Big and have the new Mac Pro recognize them as JBOD's. Or, do I need to back up the date on the five hard drives, then put in the into the 5Big, and then erase them and format them for JBOD?
And, if I need to format them in JBOD, how do I do that?
