2014 Macbook Pro: Apps crash when opening

I have this problem on my last two notebooks, I get the apple crash screen when I try to open various applications such as calendar, notes etc. When I restart it fixes the problem for a while and then the problem starts back. Can someone please help me? I have a 13" Macbook pro with 8GB of ram and 512 Solid State HDD. It is starting to get annoying.
