Renaming files on smb share

Hi Guys,

Im running 10.8 and im connected to a couple of smb shares (windows server 2008) but for some reason it won't let me rename or save downloaded files directly to the network. I have to save everything to desktop and then copy over.

Is this a common mac issue or is there an easier work around?
